Malai Kofta

My hubby always liked to eat Malai Koftha at the restaurants. I was eager to try this at home. One fine day I tried it and ... Voila!!! Here it is!

Ingredients:1. Finely chopped Beans - about 20.
2. Finely chopped cabbage - 1 bowl.
3. Green peas - 1 cup.
4. Finely chopped onions - 2 medium sized.
5. Boiled and Mashed Potato - 2.
6. Freshly prepared Tomato puree. [Boil them an peel-off their skin before making puree].
7. Garam masala - 1 tsp.
8. Red chili powder - 2 tsp.
9. Corn floor - 2 tbsp.
10. Chic pea (basan) floor - 3 tbsp.
11. Vegetable Oil.
12. Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp.
13. Onion Paste - 2 tsp.
14. Tomato Sauce - 3 tsp.
15. Green chili sauce - 2 tsp.
16. Soya sauce - 3 tsp.
17. Cream - 1 cup.
18. Salt to taste.
How To Make It:
Preparing Malai Koftha has got two parts - One, preparing the Koftha and two, making the Koftha gravy.

Praparing Koftha -
1. Fry beans, cabbage and green peas.
2. Fry onion separately, till it becomes golden brown.
3. Mix both of them.
4. Add the boiled and mashed potatos.
5. Add 1 tsp garam masala and 1 tsp of chili powder to this.
6. Add corn floor and chic peas floor to it.
7. Add salt to taste.

8. Mix them thoroughly and make small Koftha balls out of them.

9. Fry the koftha balls in hot oil till golden brown and yummy.
The Koftha balls are ready!

Preparing the Koftha Gravy -
1. Put 1 tbsp of oil in the vessel.
2. Add the ginger garlic paste and fry.
3. Add the onion paste.
4. Add tomato puree.
5. Add salt to taste.
6. Add cream.
7. Add the chili sauce, tomato sauce and the soya sauce.
8. Add half a glass of water.
9. Keep stirring till it boils.

10. Now add the koftha balls to it and wait for 2-3 mins.

Serve Hot!!!!!!!

Goes really well with Roti or Parata!!
